Hey there, Travis here.
It’s been a while hasn’t it? I apologize for the delay.
We are currently hard at work, monitoring productions, taking promotional photos, just getting the Ruby ready for the masses in general.
Lately, we’ve also been getting this question from everyone:
“What exactly is the Ruby, actually?”
In the upcoming days, I’ll be releasing some information regarding the Ruby. Let’s start by talking about the drivers:
The Ruby is a Tribrid IEM with a single dynamic driver, 4 balanced armature drivers, as well as 4 electrostatic drivers in a 5-way crossover configuration.
In terms of frequency distribution, we chose to utilize the dynamic driver for the lower frequencies, while using balanced armature drivers for mids and high frequencies, and electrostatic drivers handle the ultra-highs.
To answer the question of “What the Ruby actually is”, I think the simplest way to describe its tuning is “an IEM specialized in soundstage and frequency coherence”.
Of course, there are a few things that makes the Ruby unique from other tribrid IEMs. I will release more information soon, so stay tuned!
