Ruby’s Dynamic Driver

Hello again, Travis here.

Let’s take a moment and talk about the dynamic driver in the Ruby.

It is a 10mm SPM complex diaphragm dynamic driver, more importantly, we have chosen to use a beryllium-plated diaphragm.

Beryllium-plated DDs are generally considered to be durable, but also exceptionally light. This allows the driver to last longer, and also fast enough to produce a wider range of frequencies.

At the same time, a dynamic driver diaphragm would also have to be rigid enough to combat sound distortion, and a beryllium-plated diaphragm can do just that – light and thin enough to produce higher frequencies, but also strong enough that it doesn’t distort under heavy load.
