Emerald

Design Concept

Emerald is a gemstone that represents peace, tranquility and rebirth. In the eyes of our designers, Emerald not only completes the color triangle of the series so far (with the previous launch of the Ruby and Sapphire, respectively), Emerald also represent the rebirth of the bone conduction driver tribrid concept. Bring a variation of the Sapphire model, Emerald is not only a more generalist take of the Sapphire sound signature, but also to provide our sounds to more people in the community.

The primary color of the Emerald is a clear shade of green. The color represents growth, harmony and new beginnings. Inspired by gemstones, the panel of the Emerald remain sparkly and shimmering, representing a new beginning of our popular bone conduction tribrid design. This is our way to try and get this sound signature to more fans within the community, by being both more accessible and comfortable.

Tuning

The Emerald offers a more balanced listening experience, with a very even distribution across all three frequency ranges. The bass remains deep and impactful, with the BCD providing additional tone and texture. Vocals continue to be dense yet very well-defined. The Emerald is considered to be a more generalist take of the BCD tribrid concept, and it is suitable for listening to most types of music.

Sonion Bone Conduction Driver

6mm Dynamic Driver for Ultra-Low Frequencies

The ultra-low frequencies are handled by a 6mm liquid diaphragm dynamic driver. The liquid diaphragm offers excellent acoustic performance, delivering natural, relaxed low frequencies that are full and energetic.

10mm Contact Bone Conduction Driver for Low-Frequency Support

A custom-made 10mm contact type bone conduction driver works in tandem with the dynamic driver to produce deeper, more resonant bass with better texture and resolution.

Two Balanced Armature Drivers for Low, Mid, and High Frequencies

One Knowles balanced armature driver handles the low and mid frequencies, providing a rich vocal density and realistic instrumental texture.

Another custom-made balanced armature driver is responsible for the high frequencies, delivering a wider soundstage and a clearer listening experience, ensuring seamless transitions in the mid-to-high frequencies of Emerald.
