Ruby, with its rich red color, symbolizes passion, love, and strength. In the mind of the designer at Eminent Ears, it embodies the essence of what RUBY aims to convey. Therefore, when designing the appearance of RUBY, the designer chose a gradient effect with a deep red hue as the primary tone. Exquisite multi-faceted high-end rhinestones were carefully incorporated as embellishments, blending into a black base color, giving the IEM a dazzling and radiant feel overall.

Tuning

The RUBY offers a delicate and transparent sound signature, with a well-balanced distribution across all three frequency ranges. The bass is full and rich, vocals are full of detail, and the high frequencies are airy and vibrant. The soundstage is also quite expansive, providing a great yet comforting sense of spatial awareness. These IEMs feature a combination of dynamic drivers, balanced armature as well as electrostatic driver units, resulting in an excellent dynamic response. The RUBY is particularly suitable for listening to instrumental music.

Specifications

The RUBY features a 10mm dynamic driver responsible for handling low frequencies. This new generation 10mm full-range driver, combined with our unique tuning techniques, delivers distinctive bass performance, making the low frequencies more dynamic and impactful. The vocals are natural and warm, with rich and delicate details. The 10mm dynamic driver’s larger diaphragm also effectively reduces distortion, and enhances the stability of the sound chamber, resulting in higher audio accuracy overall.

The mid and high frequencies are handled by four balanced armature drivers. Two Knowles balanced armature drivers are dedicated to the midrange, delivering excellent performance for vocals and some musical elements. Through meticulous tuning, they seamlessly integrate with the smooth, natural sound of the dynamic driver. Two custom-made balanced armature drivers are responsible for the high frequencies, providing a wider soundstage and better musical perception. This ensures coherent sound across the entire frequency spectrum, without leaving gaps between the mid and high frequencies.

Lastly, four electrostatic drivers are installed to handle the ultra-high frequencies. These custom-made electrostatic drivers offer quick transient response as well as excellent ultra-high frequency extension, adding a hint of brightness to the overall tone of the sound.

Cable

As our first project in the personal audio world, we believe that a good set of in-ear monitors certainly starts with good tuning and drivers, but it doesn’t stop there. Therefore, we have partnered with Vortex Cables to design an upgrade cable specifically tuned and perfected for the RUBY. We would like to let everyone get the most out of their RUBY, right out of the box.
